Biography
Marianne Abadir is a vocational rehabilitation associate at Career Consultants of America, Inc. At the University of South Florida (USF), she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her master’s degree in clinical mental health and rehabilitation counseling. Ms. Abadir is a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC). Additionally, she is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and president of the Southwest District.
Ms. Abadir’s experience includes providing expert witness services and case management related to vocational and rehabilitation issues. Further, she has been involved in cases relating to workers’ compensation, family law, and personal injury. She has provided expert testimony on loss of wages and wage-earning capacity. In addition, she was involved with the Facilitated Reentry Interventions Subsequent to Brain Injury (FRISBI) Research Team. The team was created in collaboration with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), and USF. She worked with children with brain injuries who completed their stay with the DJJ to build skills and goals to help reduce the rate of recidivism.
